You make a false point at the beginning; equity is *not* about equal outcomes, but about fair and just opportunities. White privilege and racism create inequitable advantage and disadvantage; if we eradicate them, the advantages white people often do not see would be gone and many white people consciously and unconsciously fear the loss of advantage.
